Space Coast Island Classic, Marching Competition Sat. Oct. 6

The Cocoa Beach HS Minutemen Marching Band will be performing at the Space Coast Island Classic, Marching Competition at Merritt Island High School this Saturday, October 6th. Their performance time is at 4:30pm. Last year they received "Best Percussion" and "Best Music" awards. Come on out to support your Minutemen Marching Band the Pride of Cocoa Beach, they would love to see you there.

Students love to see their parents at the performances. We all like to please our parents. If you can make it out to support them they would love it. Since this one is close, please consider coming out on Saturday.

This is our first competition and as you know this month is a 3 competition month. Please save misses from rehearsals or performances until after October 27th. We really need everyone to be here consistently if we expect to do well this month.

Space Coast Island Classic Schedule
Saturday - October 6, 2007
This Festival begins at 3:45pm with the first bands performance.
Cocoa Beach performs at 4:30pm

1:30pm Report to CBHS stadium field - run show
2:00pm Water break/bathroom break
2:15pm Dress in full uniforms - Band Shirt
2:40pm Load Busses
2:45pm Depart for Merritt Island
3:15pm Arrive and get out instruments
3:40pm Tune and warm-up/move to stadium
4:30pm Performance
4:45pm Go back to bus - Change into Show Shirt/blue jean pants w/belt /tennis shoes.
5:30-6:30pm Dinner Break for all- Bring Money as need for concessions, Competition shirt, program, etc. The amount is up to you.
6:30pm -8pm Watch other marching bands from the stands as a group
8:15pm Retreat / Awards Presentation
8:50pm Depart for Cocoa Beach
9:30pm Parents Pick up Students @ CBHS
